Jillian & Alex {Reception}

   Jillian and Alex had such a beautiful fall wedding.  As I told you in my last post Jillian & Alex {Wedding}, it was a two-parter.  The reception took place the Saturday after Halloween - which was also their wedding day.  Being the big fans of Halloween that they are, it was only fitting that their reception was full of guests - as well as the wedding party - all in costume.  It was fantastic!

   The bride and bridesmaids were all dressed as Disney princesses.  The bridesmaids' gowns were all specially made for the occasion: Snow White, Jasmine, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella.  Jillian wore her wedding dress and was fixed up as Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

    The groom was Scooby Doo and his groomsmen were dressed the Mystery Gang, which was just too funny!  Two of the "braver" groomsmen wore dresses to portray Daphne and Velma, while the others rounded out the group as Scrappy Doo, Shaggy, and Fred.  I told you they were a fun group!

    The guests were great participants as well.  Almost everyone who attended was dressed in a costume, which made it even better.  Of course, there is more... The bride and groom danced their first dance to Beauty and the Beast, where halfway through, Alex "transformed" from Scooby Doo into his tux from the wedding and the song changed to "I Live My Life For You" by Firehouse.  It was super cute!

    I must admit that it was one of the most fun weddings we have ever had the pleasure of attending.  Best wishes to Jillian and Alex in your future together!  I am sure it will be filled with laughter and happiness.

Jillian & Alex {Wedding}

    Jillian and Alex are friends of ours.  I was honored when they chose us to capture their special day.  Their wedding was beautiful, simple, and intimate.  The ceremony took place downtown in the Old Courthouse Museum on a Thursday.  The groom's sister officiated.   The bridesmaids wore purple dresses of their own style and shade and carried orange flowers.  The men were dashing all in black.  After photos at the Outdoor Campus, there was a small reception at the couple's home.

   Now, one of the best parts of this wedding was that it was a two-parter.  It took place on Halloween Day as Alex and Jillian are big fans of the holiday.  The reception was the following Saturday evening, but more on that later.  Now, a glimpse at this wonderful couple's special day.

   The other great part about this wedding was the entire wedding party.  They were all so much fun!  Everyone was having a great time and so willing to pose for photos, even in the chilly fall air.
